Spent a week in englewood with the family. We rented a house on the north end of Manasota Beach.

I could never find the Snook in the surf, so I resorted to Lemon Bay and found plenty. I caught multiple snook each day on either mangrove red exudes or Yo-zuri L minnow.
I also caught plenty of Mangrove Snapper, trout, reds, and 2 flounder.
My best day was Friday where I caught a 28" Snook, 25"Red, 20"trout (plus others), 14" flounder, 14" Mangrove Snapper. I lost the largest snook of my life, she was well over 30".
We had some good times, my 7 year old daughter wanted to have a luau party. I met the South Florida Shark Fishing Club (they fished in front of my house one night

) I saw a Green Turtle laying eggs on the beach one morning while walking and looking for Snook. My son (9 months) loved the beach too. I think we are going to rent this house again, it was sweet. 4br 3 bath pool, hot tub and very secluded.
Biggest Red was 25"

Biggest Snook (it was released safely after the pic)
