Leaving for Costa on Thursday for a month or two. Never been before. Anyone got any tips for me. I'll be in the Golfito area for a while then move around.

Basically flyfishing for snook and or roosters. Surfing of course..

Thanks and bye...

Jaco is dirty. The surf up north is cleaner and better IMO. Playa Negra is the shit. Playa Grande and Playa Nosara were really fun as well. MAybe 2 hours or so south of Jaco is Quepos and Manuel Antonio. Great surf there as well. I really like the northern part better though. Always seemed cleaner, the waves were mostly reef or rock bottoms (depending on the location).

I agree. Pavones is fun if there's a good swell. Dominical (also called sin city) a very heavy beach break, makes Hermosa look like a cakewalk. Watch out for the lizards in the river mouths biggrin.gif
