Trying to figure out what to eat tonight. Dug thru the freezer and found some cubed venison steaks from this winter. Tried to remember a recipe that a friend told me about years ago and started experimenting.
Fried some bacon then breaded the steaks and cookd it in the bacon grease, sauteed some onions and mushrooms in the leftovers, added a can of mushoom soup, some water, garlic salt and ceyenne pepper, crumbled the bacon up and added it and the steaks back into the sauce and let simmer for a couple of hours.
Fixed some white rice, corn, fresh cucs and maters and didn't turn out so bad, needs more pepper!
Ain't purty but shore did taste goot
