I started on my new boat project today. The hull is an '83 Cajun Special, welded, 16'x6'. I'm going to gut the insides and completely re-do.

Before...

Started by pulling the carpet up, removing the hatch frames, and cutting away the deck.

Then cleaned out the insides.

Going to have to remove the top of the transom and fit in a new core.

More to come tomorrow. I'm going to move forward with my demo.

We're rebuilding the Liberty Square bridge at Magic Kingdom and will be using ipe wood over iron. I'll save ya some scrapes. Looks like you have a bunch of aluminum to cut out and replace with good ol' wood.

Ipe' is fantastic stuff. tu.gif Tough on saw blades, tho. And it stinks like curtis when you cut it.

Funny how there's no scapes to haul off if you build a dock, boardwalk or bridge with it. Sinks like a rock. :habitat:

Continued the demo. Moved forward and took out the old helm seat and side storage box. Next is the forward compartments and side panels. Then it's on to the transom.
