Was looking around today and saw Shimano Sierra spinning reels for $30.
They had a 2500 and 4000 size, both same price.

Anybody use these? Did they last - or still work - for you?

Starting to have issues with a reel or two and thinkin about changing up.
Budget for the reel is under $50...inshore use, mainly trout and reds.

Don't know about the Sierra's but I bought 2 Sienna's a year or two ago (2500) from wally world for 30 bucks apiece. So far everything is good with them. They get no love from me(water, oil, ect) and they are holding up well.

Find any snook yet?

Maybe they were Sienna's and I misunderstood the "n"s. OK, thanks I just might give em a try.

I loved the Okuma's for the baitrunner feature but they seem to be slipping up on me now.

Floyd--I have a spot I know they inhabit, but haven't had a spare minute to go try recently. Might give it one last go before June 1.

I'll letcha know results if that occurs...of course, right now we got the damn full moon so it's a stupid waste of time!

Okuma EF-20 is a much better reel for about the same price.

Still like the top-drag Siennas.
Seems cheapest place to get them is Dicks sporting Goods at $30 (2500 and one size up)
