I have been posting to several fishing forums over the past year about my excursions and those of my clients.

As it turns out most rate the virtually untouched waters around the shores of St. Maarten/St. Martin as world class.

With over 500 snook averaging 12 lbs. and countless tarpon landed by my clients and I for the year, guiding part-time, St. Maarten is in a class that few other locations in the world can match.

The fishing is 365 days a years and the worst of weather, hurricanes, can see the best of fishing.

So if your planning a trip to the Caribbean consider St. Maarten for some serious inshore action.

Tyt Lynz!

Richard

Neat island, half French, half Dutch. (French beaches tongue.gif )
Big lagoon in the middle of the island, shallow, have to watch for tourists on pwc's.
Prickly Pear is an amazing dive spot couple hours by boat to the north.
Saba Bank holds some of the biggest feeshes in the Atlantic.
Big hotels, little hotels, shopping in Phillipsburg, daily flights.
Get bored, after leaving the casinos, drive down to airport road on Saturday night
and watch the drunks miss the turn, they end up in the lagoon.
