Seems like BP did not want to shut down the well, it might of lost the field. Thats evidently why they have been tryin to reclaim the oil instead of shuttin it off. The tool used to cut the pipe yesterday after the saw failed, could of crimped pipe closed instead of cuttin it and tryin to reclaim oil. Also, do y'all think when a hurricane comes by, they will leave that vessel in place with personel to keep reclaimin the oil or get the hell out of dodge ?

Just got off the phone with Ryan. He's headed back to Washington DC tomorrow to testify in front of a special committee for the 2nd time in 3 weeks. He's now leads the Louisiana Charter Guides Association, along with local marine biologists, the parish presidents and Governor Jindal are teamed together and making headway to getting their gameplans for the marshes implemented.

Yep, anyone who knows anything about fishn understands what Ryan was talkin about. I could not help but notice, did'nt see any booms. They told us here, they were not gona boom off Marsh island or the pass, Opening is too far, and waves go over booms. What I have been saying, these guys running the show are idiots, can not think outside the box. We have a place rite here, that can build all booms needed, and who the hell says booms have to be the size they use now. Make the damn booms 3' diam and here in South La. we have millions of miles of pipe, just drive pipe every few hundred yards, put big booms across and at least it will help. I am disgusted with GOv, BP, Local Gov, ect ect. I heard a few tarballs were found on Tx coast couple days ago.

Here's a great interview to give you a clear, unbiased view of what's going on in SE Louisiana. It's an interview by Laura Ingraham with Ryan Lambert. Click the tab for May and scroll down to his interview.

I flew over an area that had oil couple weeks ago, saw very little sheen but did see quite a bit of bubbles, must be dispersant. THey said it was thick a couple weeks back, and said the smell was rediculous. Guys on the platform told me it smelled like charcoal lighter fluid. Saw bou' cou' shrimp boats with skimmers, but is expected since they are getting 3000 plus expenses/day ohmy.gif
